RECYCLED TEETH COULD MAKE £34M
A CHARITY project has raised 18m yen (£88,755) by recycling false teeth. The Japan Denture Recycle Association started in 2006 and has recycled 30,000 dentures. Project leader Isao Miyoshi says if all 3.6m dentures with precious metals discarded each year were recycled, they`d be worth up to £34,5m.
Mr. Miyoshi said dentures are “a treasure mountain” for charities.
